A century and a half of family tradition and pride. Just imagine, over 150 years of growing our company with honesty and integrity. But, after all these years, what sustains our belief in these simple values?

In the following letter, Chairman of the Board Scott Petty, Jr. answers this question as he shares with you his thoughts about our philosophy.

Welcome to the C.H. Guenther & Son Inc. Web site. On behalf of our employees and shareholders, I would like to personally thank you for your interest in our company and its portfolio of products.

C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. has a rich history that began just 15 years after the fall of the Alamo in a small town called Fredericksburg, located on the Texas frontier. In 2001, our company reached a major milestone celebrating its 150th anniversary. We have prospered and grown during the past 150 years and are recognized as the oldest family-owned business in Texas, and the oldest continuously operated, family-owned milling company in the United States.

Our company owes its longevity and success to doing business with honesty and integrity. Our continuous commitment is to provide America's kitchens with the highest quality baking and gravy products. From biscuit, pancake and gravy mixes to flour and tortilla mixes, C.H. Guenther & Son responds to the needs of our consumers and customers without sacrificing the "baked from scratch" taste for which the company is known. The same is true of our frozen dough and baked goods, which provide unmatched high-quality products without the added labor.

In addition to providing our retail and foodservice customers with the best products on the market, the C.H. Guenther commitment is carried out by more than 700 employees who work hard every day in our locations across the South; in our corporate headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, and in our manufacturing plants in San Antonio and Duncanville, Texas, Knoxville, Tennessee and Prosperity, South Carolina. Without the dedication of our employees and their commitment to quality in every detail, we would not be able to deliver the trusted products that American families, generation after generation, have come to love.

The next time you are in San Antonio, I would encourage you to dine at The Guenther House, located next to our company's headquarters. Mr. Guenther built this limestone home for his family in 1859, when his gristmill was relocated from a creek near Fredericksburg to the more powerful San Antonio River. Today, within The Guenther House resides a restaurant, historical museum and the San Antonio River Mill gift store. The decoration and details in the home are beautiful, and include remnants of the worldwide travels of Guenther's youngest son and successor Erhard.

You have our commitment that we will continue the Guenther tradition of providing great-tasting, high-quality food products, and I invite you to explore our Web site for new innovations.

Sincerely,
Scott Petty, Jr.
Chairman
